The Good Samaritan

This is Van Gogh's painting inspired by the story of the "Good Samaritan." I read this story in my old edition of the New Testament. I am under the impression that newer editions of the NT no longer include this story, as it might give Christians wrong ideas about their responsibilities towards others of different nationalities, faiths, etc.
