Balzac
Before I read any of Balzac's novels, I read Stefan Zweig's biography of the writer, which I purchased in a used bookstore in Pittsburgh for $1.00. Bob Dylan said that the point of life is not to find yourself but to invent yourself and this Balzac did with abandon. After reading Zweig, I began to work my way through the Comedie Humaine.
