9/11 Is Over
While this particular column of Tom Friedman's is not enough to make up for the many bigoted, loathsome, uninformed "my Zion right or wrong" columns he has published in the past, I am willing to give credit where credit is due and to hope for the eventual moral rehabilitation of the man. Please read this one: it's a keeper.

Alas, the Grappion must intrude on the Mazeppist's Romantic Idealism with a dose of cynical pragmatism. Mr. Friedman is a fool. And despite your best wishes for his rehabilitation and belief in the goodness of man, it is hopeless. The credit that you seek to bestow is merely the credit that one might give the proverbial "million monkeys at a million typewriters for a thousand years." This, I suggest, is what has happened in the case of Mr. Friedman and this particular article. That is not to say that I disagree with the sentiment expressed in the article. To the contrary, I agree. Unfortunately, it is all too little too late. And not only for Mr. Friedman but for the world.
