Epicurean Contentment

 

Those who seek many things are always lacking; blessed is the one with whom the god has been stingy, providing just enough... (from Horace, Odes, Bk. III, xvi).

Anyone in this world with half a loaf/And a roof over his head/Is neither Master nor Slave; say to him: "Be happy always,"/for he possesses a world of happiness.
