The American Leviathan

I stumbled upon this in a used bookstore in Colorado Springs of all places. While I will demur on the question of whether or not it succeeds as poetry, it is a remarkable set of "memoranda" about the role of my hometown in the struggle of capital and labor in the early 20th century, its role in the Big Business that is war, and of the struggle of spirit and the sense of beauty to transcend the American Leviathan.
